When we got up it was quite cloudy but after breakfast it started to clear up a bit. We left at 7:50 heading towards Tengboche again. The bridge to the other side of the river was built above the older suspension bridge which was still in place.
We arrived in Tengboche at 9:05 and fortunately the sun had come out by that time.
After taking pictures of the Tenboche monastery for about half an hour we continued at 9:25 and descended to Phunki Thanga. We arrived at 10:00 and had a coke in the garden of the lodge just before the bridge.
After a half hour break we crossed the bridge and started to head up towards Namche Bazaar.
Again, an old bridge was still (partially) visible. It looked like the rock that had been used as an anchor for a suspension bridge had toppled down into the river collapsing the bridge.
On our way to Namche Bazaar we stopped in the Thamserku View Lodge on the way and ordered cheese toast and tomato soup. Unfortunately the dishes and the toast slices were so dirty that we returned them and bought some delicious pastries for the road in the bakery next door instead.

The yak on the left we encountered resting just above Namche.
A huge mani stone above Namche Bazaar.
We arrived in Namche Bazaar at 13:25 and headed to the bank to cash in a few travellers checks. After that we headed up to our hotel and had lunch. We took a nap and later went down into the village for some shopping. Our hotel had nicer rooms compared to Hotel Everest but unfortunately the food was not as good.
